Bowers & Wilkins CCM 7.3 S2 In-Ceiling Speaker

The CCM7.3 is a three-way speaker featuring true audiophile technologies such as a Nautilus tube-loaded 25mm(1in) soft dome tweeter, a 100mm (4in) FST™ Kevlar® mid-range and two 130mm (5in) paper/Kevlar bass drivers. Within the CCM 7.3 you will find a number of technologies initially seen in the company's CT700 series, as well as new advances like the meticulously formed baffle, built from glass reinforced ABS. The baffle has a scallop beneath the tweeter, which acts as the optimal roll off for higher frequencies, which results in a far more accurate sound reproduction, complete with an open and clear sound stage.

The CCM7.4 is the intermediate level in-ceiling loudspeaker within Bowers & Wilkins' CI700 series and is designed to offer a superlative performance and build quality that far exceeds its comfortable price point. A wealth of high performance technologies have been used by Bowers for this model, including two 130mm (5 inches) bass/midrange driver cone, built from light, yet rigid Kevlar. These bass/midrange drivers are set in a rigid die-cast chassis, while a Nautilus tube-loaded 25mm (1 inch) tweeter sits between them. The baffle is built from a glass-reinforced ABS, and the high quality tweeter components features a scallop beneath it for a better roll-off at high frequencies. This results in a far more accurate sound reproduction, and a far wider, more open soundstage.
