My first and long go TT is Pro-Ject RPM 9.1 but with upgraded power supply from Russ Andrews (the upgraded power supply make significant improvement over stock). But i wanted move up to better level because i concluded that analog is a way listen to music than digital after long experience with top brands (Krell KPS 20IL). i chat with AS staff many times and finally settled on VPI.This is great TT right out of box, very well and expensive built, very heavy, and very attractive looking that invite you all the time set close to it!Surprisingly, the sound quality is pretty close to RPM 9.1! Some vinyl's sound indifferent between two TTs, but others the VPI show improvement in refinements and less edginess. But these observations come from one cartridge use, Shelter 9000, so other cartridges and tests might reveal other aspects.Setting cartridge is pretty straightforward and easy than ever, setting precise tracking force value better than RPM 9.1 and i consider it reference level.Once I have this TT there is no going back it will be final TT.VPI set on Symposium Ultra platform, with Rollerblock2, and use expensive power cord.I'm extremely happy with VPI and I'm very glad i purchase it.Many Thanks to AS staff: Simon, and particularly Martin, who made his significant effort helping me having this TT.
