Melco High Res Music Library now available!

After seeing these at the Windsor Hi-Fi show recently, and having a play with them in our demonstration rooms last night we're very pleased to let you all know that we're taking on Melco as a brand.  

Their no nonsense approach to high resolution music listening is a very refreshing break from messing around with NAS drives, ensuring everything stays connected, and makes it very easy to ensure you're getting the very best from your streaming.  

With current streaming problems including IP address set up and control, data rate and jitter and DoP or DSD/DXD issues, music file management, network connectivity.. The list is endless!  The Melco range addresses all of these issues and allows you to easily and quickly load your music onto the storage and stream directly from there.  Without NAS drives relying on a network connection, separated power supply circuitry for LAN ports, and audio-grade ultra low jitter data clock to ensure jitter is eliminated at source, the Melcos' make all of the current problems disappear.  The DSM Direct Low Jitter no switch connection between the Melco and your streamer transfers no electrical noise, using light pipe technology, again ensuring integrity of your audio.  The pre-configured and optimised UPnP music server means the Melco Music Libraries are ready to use out of the box, just plug it all in and load in your music!

The Melco Digital Music Library is not a computer, and requires no computer to operate.  There is no specialist PC knowledge for setup and installation.  System setup is simple from the 4 button menu system on the clear and informative OLED front display.  With a download manager expected for release in February 2015, the Melcos will seamlessly integrate with regional HD music download sites, like the EU version of HDTracks. 

If you have your music on USB drives you can simply plug them in the front and the auto detection of music files prompts the Melco to ask if you want to copy the files to the internal storage.  You are able to expand up to 8Tb using a USB3.0 external hardrive, and either copy from the external drive to the internal, or play direct from the external drive.
