I replaced my original mat with this one after more than 20 years of use - probably too long!. The new mat is exactly as described, appears well made and was delivered very quickly. The deck now has a new lease of life and my vinyl spins wonderfully flat. Spend the money, it's worth it.

This Turntable Mat has improved the sound of my Rega (2022) Planer 3
There is a smoothness to the bass and a calmness to the top end, which was a little bright.
Highly Recommended

Analogue Studio Cork rubber turntable mat 02 May 2021 | Michael
Replaced felt mat with with Cork & rubber mat. The deference was emediately apparent with deeper more rounded tones. Had to turn up the treble a little to balance this but all round a more enjoyable listening experience. Not tried any other material on my turntable. Initially planned to try a vinyl mat but went for the Cork instead. Not disappointed with my purchase.

It all seems a bit less busy. 28 November 2020 | Russell
I bought this as a replacement for the standard felt mat on an original Xerxes. Contrary to the ethos of the turntable, but there you go!
The original Xerxes has a lip around the outer rim of the platter, that I measured carefully and selected this mat on the basis of it's stated measurements.
It is slightly too large and I have remeasured to check. A non-issue for anybody with a flat platter.
The difference over the original mat was subtle, but clear. The background space is simply quieter. Not in terms of background noise, but it just seems to emphasise transients better and helps to focus instruments in their own space.
To put it another way the greater, more focused separation of images makes the space between them darker. It all just sounds less busy.
We're not talking the same difference as a phono stage upgrade, but you could spend a lot more on cables to notice a lot less of a difference.
That makes this a bargain.

Great quality and improved sound, although it is slightly thicker than 3mm. I haven't reset my vta as thinner vinyl sounds better with this mat and I switch back to the original mat for 180g vinyl.

This tweak made a difference.. for the better! 04 February 2019 | Andre
This mat decreased the noise floor in the grooves, but at the same time it increased the music in the grooves! A good product and a worthwhile purchased.

There was a time when everything made sense and happened for a reason, not just for marketing hype. While acoustically the combination is good (cork and rubber), there are 2 drawbacks:
1. The diameter, which should be smaller, to fit just under the playing area (aprox 287-290 would've been fine) and also compensate for the warps which are mostly situated on the outside region.
2. The label recess could have been deeper, as vinyl with more prominent labels get lifted because of the small depth of the recess, and also unregulated. I started to smooth it down and regulate with some sandpaper, 180 granulation, and it ends up with a nice finish and also getting the depth right. But for this money, this shouldn't happen!
Acoustically, i prefer it over other materials, as the cork brings improvements to the bass and the rubber to the mid and highs.

Excellent inexpensive upgrade mat 31 July 2018 | Jamie
I find it surprising that turntable manufacturers continue to use flimsy felt mats. This cork and rubber mat significantly reduces static and background noise. Bass is subtly enhanced and vocals sound that little bit more present. The only reason I’ve not awarded five stars is that Analogue Studio’s similarly priced leather mat is - on my Rega 3 and with the majority of my LPs - just that little bit smoother, with less static still and more beguiling looks.

Bought as an upgrade to the felt mat supplied with my Linn Axis. Linn traditionally have used & recommended felt mats for years, but after getting increasingly frustrated with static problems & desiring the audible rewards reviews had promised I took the plunge. I'm really impressed with this mat. It really tightens up the focus of vocals & instruments alike, tighter control of bass & treble, clear transient attack of notes & depth & placement of instruments, quieter backgrounds too. Greatly reduced static too. Great product at a great price.

This is the first thing i've upgraded on a Gemini DJ deck i've been given. It's a solid turntable so I thought i'd try and make it sound better. I replaced the felt slip mat with this and its seems (to my ears) to have tightened up the bottom end. It's a quality product and looks nice on the deck too.

This turntable mat is well made, ordering simple, delivery was speedy and arrives well packaged. Simple to install, just throw the old mat to one side and place it on the platter. No need to adjust VTA and put on well know vinyl and enjoy.
Surface noise is reduced, bass notes have better control, treble is more refined, voices are more present and there is more musicality of the tracks.

Has the feel of a quality product with the advantage of reducing the static the was being induced when using Rega's felt mat. Less pops and much better sound. Recommended

System used:
Vintage Yamaha CR-820 receiver, recently overhauled. Vintage Yamaha YP-511 turntable, recently overhauled. Ortofon 2M Red cartridge. Four Klipsch speakers.
After several listening sessions of Rise by Herb Alpert using the original rubber mat and the new cork rubber mat, I can't tell the difference in the sound. The whole system performs really well. But that is hardly the point. The old rubber mat looked really tired. The new Analogue Studio cork rubber mat is very well made, performs well and looks great on the turntable. Overall, the Analogue Studio cork rubber turntable mat is an excellent mat at a reasonable price. Highly recommended.

Bought as part of an 'audiophile upgrade' for one of my old Technics SL-1200 MKii decks. Amazing how much difference to the sound quality this makes vs an old felt slip-mat. The description and other reviews here say it all.

Nice, cost effective upgrade 11 January 2016 | Justin
I bought this after a seeing a guide to improving the sound from my turntable. This seemed a relatively cheap way of doing so, with little risk attached if it made no difference!
I'm very pleased on two counts. First, it has drastically reduced the level of static compared with my old felt mat. Second, the bass has more oomph, which is what I was after. So - well worth it in my view.
I should also add that it was dispatched very quickly and the packaging was excellent, meaning this delicate item arrived in perfect condition.

I'm really enjoying the sound from my Ace Spacedeck with this mat fitted. It's a clear improvement on the standard foam mat, which up to now has been my favourite. Records lie flat thanks to the central label recess. Only downside - it smells a bit, but doubtless that will wear off!

I hold a Project Carbon Elite Turntable which holds an Acrilic Platter...and spent much time in research mode looking for simple tune ups....this Cork matt has taken all the harshness away form the voices that I had heard....and tamed the Bass to a quality thud....I also feel that I no longer need a record clamp for the matt gives the Vinyl grip....so a very simple cheap upgrade....

Read about these; called the company & spoke to knowledgeable chap; convinced and ordered & wow...does really make difference! Having read lots of forums (really have to study carefully as so many opinions out there!?), a lot of what was being said is true...does help to isolate the rumble/noise and also brings out better sound, more 'omphh' to bass etc.
