Given how good FM can sound (especially with an external aerial), I was really surprised to find so few manufacturers turn-out FM tuners these days. They will have their reasons no doubt, but I bet Magnum Dynalab are kept busy as a consequence. My MD90 (entry level model) sounds very good indeed. More than that, it sounds warmer, punchier, more engaging and perhaps even better than my digital sources. I also really like the somewhat retro feel of the three meters that glow gently and allow you to arrive at the best signal. There aren't presets, radio text or other unnecessary frills on this model.Let's hope FM stays switched-on for a long while yet.
