Audio Technica AT-VMN95SH Replacement Stylus

Upgraded to the AT-VM95SH from an elliptical AT-VM95E and the difference is like night and day. The SH tracks faultlessly unlike the E which is prone to jumping on scratched, old or dirty records whereas the SH sails through without a hitch. Info retrieval is so much better and you can hear more of the music with better bass definition, clearer mid range and a finer less edgy treble. Well worth the outlay and it makes the AT-VM95 cartridge into an even better performer. Once again thanks to all at AS for a great service.

I've upgraded to the Shibata tipped VMN95SH stylus after many months enjoying the ML. I was expecting the improvements to be subtle, however the SH adds a degree of refinement and sophistication to the sound that completely defies this cartridge's budget price. It gives incredible insight to my LPs both new and old, keeps surface noise at bay and virtually eliminates IGD. This is now my cartridge of choice for my Rega Planar 3 T/T, proving an excellent match. I think most listeners and audiophiles would be very happy with the SH. Highly recommended.

Bought this to replace the stylus on a Linn K9 cartridge with years of life left. Fits perfectly and sounds excellent on my RP2. Great service from Analogue Seduction.

I bought a Audio Technica AT-LP5X Turntable with the at95E pu for my secondary set up. I had read a test of the new Shibata version, so I bought the stylus.

Now I have got lots and lots of details and at the same time a very good sound stage Indeed. Most of all it is a very musical improvement at a fair Price. Love it.
