Excellent advice from Martin. Glorious sound and a good upgrade from the Project DS2.

I bought this phono stage after a quick chat with Martin, he suggested as I was already using valves with my Primaluna amp why not go with a valve phono stage. The PS1 MK2 was to replace a vintage Moth phono from the 1980’s in a system comprising Gyrodeck front end Primaluna integrated amp feeding ProAc Tablets. From the off there was big improvements all round, this is a very capable phono stage open and neutral, this is not rose tinted spectacles. I have now put around 80 hours listening time on it, once burnt in and after the first 30 hours it proved to be totally musical and involving. If you are looking for a phono stage under 2k with an open and natural sound this would be a good choice. If you have reservations about valves put them aside and take the plunge, you maybe surprised.
So much better than the Trichord Dino I had before. Using the built in volume and plugged directly into my power amp the sound is outstanding. Also, a big thank you to Martin for making the listening/buying process so smooth under difficult circumstances.
