HiFiMAN Focuspad A

FocusPad-A is the earpads that go with pre-order HE560s. Many head-fiers think frequency from these earpads is more linear.
We bring them back in hope of providing consumers more choices. For your information, the finish of FocusPad-A may not look as good as HE560 stock earpads.
The earpads are compatible to all HE-series headphones (including HE560, HE400i, HE300, HE400, HE500, HE6, HE4, HE5LE)

Replacement earpads for HE500s

I have read numerous reviews criticising the quality control of HiFiMan product, but having used the HE500s for about a decade and the first time I had any concern with them was when the right 'Leather' earpad covering failed. I'd always found the earpads comfortable enough, but rather warm.
I decided to purchase a set of HiFiMan Focuspads from Analogue Seduction, who sent them out in quick time. They arrived in good condition, and as described.

The swapping of the sets of the pads was as simple as you like, and took no more than a few minutes in total.

After about a fortnight's daily use, I can confirm that the earpads are more comfortable than and less warm than the originals.

As for the sound - The character of the sound is basically unchanged, with only a subtle change to the dynamics - The Focuspads are thoroughly likeable as a replacement for the originals.
