The S2 Series is our entry level range of products created to satisfy the very essential needs of those who have necessity of placing components on a basilar vertical structure made of Italian quality materials with a considerable convenience of prices. These modular products are designed for the most common components dimensions and are available only in two configurations: with 4 or 5 shelves. Our intention is to offer to every music lover (especially for the youngest!) the opportunity of having a good equipment at a very affordable price. In this Series there won’t be the possibility of choosing different heights between the shelves by using our special custom kits, although will be always eventually possible to upgrade an S2-4 to an S2-5 by adding the proper parts. Our aim is also to let the S2 Series be available at electronic large retail chains, music stores and record stores. All the shelves are made of MDF wood (22 mm or 0,86 inch of thickness). The poles are made in anodized aluminium and the hardware parts are of AVP iron (galvanized to prevent rust). Our traditional and adjustable stainless steel spikes are included to finely regulate the frame on the ground. The steel discs (PADS) for the spikes are not included but available as separate accessories. The S2 products are only available in the black finish.
When I was looking to replace my Hi-fi rack, I was not looking for a black finish, however I am glad that I found the “Solid steel 2-4 Hi-Fi Equipment Rack” on Analogue Seductions web site. It is far cheaper than the custom build I thought I was going to have to buy and It has the specifications that I need: -1) It is solidly built & rigid. 2) It has the weight capacity to hold my heavy new amplifier (Plus my rather heavy turntable)3) The shelf height is high enough to accommodate my amplifier. After reading the specification I rang Analogue Seduction and spoke to Martin who took my order over the phone. I was told to expect a lead in time of 6 to 8 weeks, so I sat back to wait.Just under 6 weeks later a large box arrived. The rack was well packed but not overly so and after identifying the parts assembly was quick and easy. Once sited, levelling was easy thanks to the adjustable spiked feet. After a couple of weeks use I am very happy and the rack ticks all the boxes for my needs, I am glad I did not spend more. I cannot comment on any difference the rack makes on sound as both my amplifier and Phono cartridge are new.If I had to pick any down sides, I would say that in this model the shelf heights are fixed and that the 6 to 8 weeks (Just under) was a long wait without music! But this would be nit picking, for its price the rack comes recommended.
