Firstly I must mention the Brilliant service from Analogue seduction, it’s flawless. The Rega carbon cartridge is the standard issue on most P2 turntables and despite the low price this cartridge has a lot to offer- it has warmth , bass notes are deep but not excessive and good mids. This cartridge is ideal if you want affordable good sound which never tires .

Has reinvented my Project Genie Mk2, Sounds so much better than the aging Otofon that was still on it! For the price you cannot beat the Audio Technica/Rega! Tops, many thanks!

Recently I was asked to repair a turntable for a friend, and was surprised to learn the fitted cartridge was faulty. Looking at reviews and being cost-conscious, this seemed to be the ideal replacement and my goodness, it certainly is! For the price, the sound quality cannot be faulted and has brought new life to an old turntable - and will do to two 'classics' in due course, a pair of Garrard 86SBs.
Buy this cartridge with confidence if you're on a budget, or just want a cheap cartridge to test records of unknown provenance.

I finally got round to fitting this cartridge. It sounds really good. Price is amazing value for the quality. Really enhances my Rega turntable which came with an Ortofon cartridge many years ago. I've already purchased a replacement stylus.

Have been using for quite a while now.
Super VFM.
Though an AT Derivative, the Carbon Shaft makes its sound mellow and smooth.
Great for my kind of simple, low-key music like Pop, Country, Instrumentals etc.
Not too insightful with complex recording ( Classical / operatic ), but not to be written off either!

I ordered this cartridge following a recommendation by a friend. Ordered during the Easter weekend and arrived 2 days later. Simple fitting even with fate fingers and the quality is really good. Will not find better in this price range
