Pro-Ject ACRYL-IT Platter Upgrade

Functional and easy to use sound improvement!

Upgrade your Debut or 1Xpression turntable to „Esprit“-standards. Acryl it is made from acrylic with satinised surface and brings a more liquid sound that leaves no space for platter resonances.

The change is easily made: just exchange your metal platter for Acryl it. Unlike metal platters, where you will need to place a felt met between record and platter to damp metal resonance, you can put your record directly on the acrylic surface, with nothing in-between. Acryl it is able to improve overall performance significantly!

Features:

  • Suitable for Debut and 1Xpression turntables
  • Substitutes metal platter
  • Inert material avoids resonances
  • Dent for label implemented
  • Ideal for use with Clamp it
  • Audiophile sound tuning
  • Optical upvaluation

  • Material acrylic with satined surface
  • Diameter 300 mm
  • Height 20 mm
  • Weight 1,3 kg net

Great upgrade

I ordered this principally for practical reasons because the felt mat on my metal platter is a bit of a dust magnet, and was a bit sceptical I'd notice much difference in sound quality.
Recieved today and tested with two tracks, swapping platters after each listen - Led Zeppelin 'four runes' companion disk, with the remixed 'Misty Mountain Hop', and Radiohead 'Everything in its Right Place' from the Kid A double album. The Zep track has Bonzo bashing the cymbals really high in the mix, and sound a tad sibilant on my system. Subtle change for the better, preserving detail while taking off the nasty edge. No such issues with the Kid A album, which nevertheless seemed a tad more fluid and even easier to listen to. Oh and it looks cool, with the belt drive showing through - even cooler if you put a translucent disk on the platter!
