Vibration absorption
The new absorber technology consolidates over a decade of bFly knowledge. On the underside of the Octopus, there are eight dual-layer absorbers. In addition, eight beech wood hemispheres sit on top of them to further absorb the vibrations of the LP and pass dissipate the energy into the gel pads underneath.
Decoupling from the turntable
The vibrations originating from the spindle of the record player are absorbed by special, low-resonance plastic together with a copper cylinder, which is contained in the knob of the Octopus Light.
Clamping Knob
The clamping option is recommended for slightly warped LPs and achieved by turning the knob. In this instance, the integrated absorbers play a balancing role as one can compensate for the unevenness of the LP by applying pressure, but only to a certain degree. Without an absorber, slight “fluttering” can occur. The integrated absorbers prevent this.
Sophisticated state of the art design
The Octopus consists of 20 individual parts, with the absorber inserts being precisely machined and matched. The copper knob and the copper chassis are coated with a special paint and are protected from oxidation. You can choose between silver or copper patina for the top logo.
