Outstanding pre/power amplifiers

I have been using the Music fidelity M2si amp and was more than happy with it. My new speakers are very inefficient and I had a feeling that the amp was trying but 60 watts per channel wasn’t enough. The M6PRX arrived first and installing it and using my M2si as a preamp showed what the speakers could do. It opened everything up, from bass to the highest treble. A real revelation. I was not using balanced cables at this time. The M6PRE arrived as well as my ballanced cables. At first not much better. After the cables had some time to settle in the pair are produce, what I call, a very musical delivery. The M2si has an excellent sounding amplifier but these pre and power amps are outstanding. I have not used the digital and phono inputs since I have a DAC and phono stage that are connected to the preamp via balanced cables. I am expecting this team to improve with time as the equipment and cables settle in more. Highly recommended.

p.s. get some better power cables, they help.
