MOON 860A v2 Power Amplifier
When I first hooked up the 860A V2 to the Allegri Reference preamp and PMC fact.12 Signature speakers and played on Singapore by Tom Waits I wondered out loud where all the instruments had come from.

The 860A v2 is the long-awaited successor to the 860A and has been designed and refined to please the most demanding of music connoisseurs.
Bristling with renowned audio technology innovations and superior build quality, the MOON 860A v2 delivers musical precision to allow the listener to enjoy the classic transparent and natural Simaudio sound.
The balanced differential dual-mono design (now bridgeable by switch) features ‘Class A’ power output (to five Watts) and will partner with virtually any loudspeakers, allowing them to reach their full audio potential. The 860A v2 has new and improved circuit design at input and gain stages, new internal bias control and its new, integrated defeatable DC coupling filter allows for better pairing with preamplifiers.
The 860A v2 features Simaudio’s Lynx technology which eliminates feedback and transient intermodulation distortion to produce a more accurate musical reproduction. High damping ensures superior musical dynamics, improved signal speed and refined timbre accuracy. And, to ensure a continuous perfect performance, the self-diagnostic system detects both over-heating and the presence of DC in the input signal.
The 860A v2 is such a complete model that it entirely replaces three previous Simaudio products: the 860A, 870A and 880A Indeed, it outperforms the 860A, matches the 870A (at a lower price point), and a mono bridged pair of 860A v2s exceeds the sound quality of the industry-respected 880M.
