Lyngdorf MP-60 2.1 Surround Sound Processor
RoomPerfect – The World’s Best Room Correction
Room correction has never been used in stereo systems because the systems available change the characteristics of the speakers. RoomPerfect is the only system which preserves the sound of the speakers used making it the only correction system suitable for audiophiles.
MP-60 is equipped with all the advanced technologies for which Lyngdorf Audio is known, including the renowned room correction system RoomPerfect™ and the unsurpassed quality in digital signal processing. Together with the Steinway Lyngdorf version, the P300, the MP-60 is developed at the group headquarters in Skive, Denmark.
State-of-the-art HDMI processing
The MP-60 2.1 processor is intuitive to use and offers extraordinarily easy installation. It decodes up to 16 native audio channels which can be mapped out intelligently through the sleek website interface. The MP-60 2.1 offers full support of the latest immersive surround formats including Dolby Atmos®, DTS:X® Pro and AURO-3D®.
With five HDMI inputs and two outputs, this new masterpiece from Lyngdorf Audio now supports HDMI 2.1 including features eARC, Dynamic Lip-Sync and QMS (Quick Media Switching) as well as the latest decoding and post-processing formats. The MP-60 2.1 supports 40 Gbps fixed rate link (FRL) and 18 Gbps transition minimized differential signaling (TMDS) video rates. The MP-60 2.1 supports Variable refresh rate (VRR), Quick Frame Transport (or Fast Vactive), and auto low latency mode (ALLM) sup- port and high dynamic range (HDR) metadata passthrough for HDMI dynamic HDR, HDR10+, and Dolby VisionTM.
eARC will allow for a full Dolby Atmos audio bitstream being returned to the processor from the television, ensuring full audio quality from the TV’s built-in media players.
Immersive surround Sound
The MP-60 offers full support of Dolby Atmos, DTS:X and Auro-3D, as well as legacy surround sound formats. The processor features 16 balanced XLR outputs and can output 12 unique channels. The remaining 4 outputs can be used for additional speakers or woofers.
The MP-60 features a built-in media player, which connects to services like Spotify and Airplay as well as internet radio. Through a cabled network or USB connector, you can access your library of music and enjoy it in stereo or as up-mixed to a surround sound format.
Stunning Good Looks
The chassis—a salute to modern industrial design—is executed in the signature black design of Lyngdorf Audio. Complemented with matte black aluminium and glass in a profile that complements its capabilities, the MP-60 radiates Danish design at its best.
Control the MP-60 with an app
The Lyngdorf Remote Application automatically discovers the MP-60 connected to your local network, and you will be able to adjust all the basic functions like input selection and volume level from your handheld device. The built-in media player can be controlled directly, and you can access music files stored on pen drives connected to the Lyngdorf MP-60 as well as search all files stored on your local hard drives. Swiping left and right gives you access to cover art as well as informing you of the signal resolution. The Lyngdorf Remote Application is available for free download from both IOS and Android.
Voicing Tool
The MP-60’s built-in voicing tool will allow you to customise 32 voicings, thus changing the overall tonality of the system to your preferences and dedicating voicings to each input of the processor. You can also create a voicing to compensate for a particular recording. Each voicing can consist of up to eight filters with adjustable gain and Q, all controlled through the browser interface, which shows the effect of each filter as well as the overall effect to tonality.
Dead Silent
Because of the extremely low background noise of the fully digital signal processing in the MP-60, you will experience . . . silence. You can enjoy everything from the faintest details to the loudest bangs with full dynamics and realism. But to enjoy the silent passages of music or cinema, your room also needs to be quiet. This is where the digital approach has another benefit; the MP-60 doesn´t generate much heat and therefore has only passive cooling with no need for noise-inducing fans.
Built To Last
The MP-60 is, like all Lyngdorf Audio electronics, built to the highest standards. Everything is simply best-in-class—from the meticulous design based on 20 years of know how in digital signal processing, to selection of components, mechanical design, manufacturing, and 48 hours of burn-in before the final QA. Each step ensures that you will not only have ultimate performance but also a product with the highest reliability in the industry.
Connections
A variety of in- and out-puts provide plenty of options to connect your audio and video sources, including eight HDMI inputs and two HDMI outputs, four optical and three digital coaxial inputs, a USB input that supports audio up to 192kHz/32bit, and an AES/EBU input plus an XLR connector for the RoomPerfect calibration microphone. There’s also an HDBaseT output, a feature set that can converge uncompressed full UHD digital video and audio through a 100m/300ft LAN cable.
Flexibility In Installation
Multiple control options will allow you to integrate the MP-60 with control systems, IR sensors, and triggers, whereas the IP-control or the infrared remote will offer a direct control of all features.
DCI-Compliant Digital AES/EBU Input
For movie aficionados, the MP-60 offers an optional upgrade with a DCI-compliant digital AES/EBU input for integration with digital cinema servers.
