Synergistic Research 'SR Red' Reference Fuse

In mid 2012 Synergistic Research entered the fuse market with SR20 Quantum Fuses and we quickly became the fuse to beat worldwide.

Never a company to rest on past success we began seeking new ways to elevate fuse performance concentrating on both conductor materials and new treatment processes.

Synergistic Research RED Fuses feature proprietary alloy burn wires and end caps encased in anti-resonant ceramic bodies. RED fuses are then treated with 2,000,000 volts of electricity in a process we call Quantum Tunneling that alters the conductor at a molecular level for optimum performance.

Unique to SR RED Fuses is a new treatment process applied exclusively to SR RED Fuses that realigns the crystal structure of both the burn wire and the end caps for a refinement in high frequency characteristics and improved timbre linearity. All told SR RED fuses significantly outperform every other high-end fuse on the market and are the only fuses guaranteed to deliver a significant increase in system performance or your money back.

When compared to our award winning SR20 Quantum Fuses, SR RED Fuses sound more refined with smoother highs and more linear frequency extension from the deepest bass to the highest highs; no small feat given the remarkable performance of our original SR20 Quantum Fuses.

Amazing Improvement

I used this in the mains plug of my GZ2000 65" TV. Incredible. The colour saturation and sound have had a huge improvement! Well worth it!

SR Red Fuse

I am using this fuse in my adapter that feeds my Shunyata Triton. What an amazing upgrade from the original Bussman fuse that came with the adapter. I knew that fuse was the weakest link, thank goodness I made the decision to upgrade. Wonder what the Black or Blue can do.

Like having a direct connection to the mains
09 August 2016  |

Used in the mains powering an Isotek Minisub. The mains cable is an upmarket one with 4mm silver fused conductors. Initial impression was not great but I gave it 3 days use and today I could hear a huge change developing as the system played. The soundstage moved back with superb resolution and power and it is still improving. Krell Evo 222 with Krell Evo505, SME20/2, Linn LP12 Aro and Mini Maggies. This fuse needs at least 15 hours to come on song.

Added dynamic headroom
16 November 2015  |

I'm not one of those audiophiles who is sceptical about accessories as my rule of thumb is simple. Read the press, look at a range of customer reviews and then try it for yourself. If it doesn't work or is poor value for money then send it back. I've tried several different types of fuse but not all and this is the fist Red fuse i've tried in my power supply chain. Firstly give it time to burn in and secondly don't be surprised if your amp seems to have developed more wattage, more muscle. The dynamic headroom of my 150W amp is noticeably improved so I'm going to replace all my AMR 13amp fuses with these. My assumption being that if only one Red fuse makes a difference then the combination of 3 in the supply chain will be greater still. Hope it works!
