Synergistic Research 5 x 20mm SR-20 Quantum Fuse T

I`ve got a Plethora of tweaks in my system(and over the years)that include interconnects,mains cabling dc boxes,fuses,linear psu`s etc.
I went with a 3.15a SYNERGISTIC RESEARCH 5 X 20MM SR-20 QUANTUM FUSE T for my phono stage(Whest audio two .2)and wasn`t expecting much of a sound quality improvement due to the other fuses already installed,but to my amazement the set-up improved again - just more of EVERYTHING that was/is great sounding which is;clearer less sibilant highs(great for vinyl)with extension,mids that are a marvel for the cost of the system,BASS(hahah)low,extended and textured & soundstaging two words - Super Wide!
Now I don`t know if everyone will hear the difference but for the "reasonable" cost,it could save on a major spend on an electrical component.
The thing with hifi fuses is you MUST try them in "BOTH" directions even if you do hear an improvement 1st time around,this is just to prove that it`s not in your head & you may get a Greater improvement ,I`d like to think that most owners know their own systems well enough to realise if there is a difference once a hifi fuse is installed - Me,I`m on about 11th fuse all in and would never be without them. This(Synergistic sr-20 quantum slow blow fuse)along with my other make of fuses & tweaks have saved me spending £000`s on new proposed hifi equipment,they "may" just do the same for you and if they don`t - send them back for a refund but I bet most don`t or won`t,thank you for reading and good luck.

As for the service from the good people at analogue seduction ,I get EXCELLENT service from all there for anything that I`ve ever purchased with quick dispatch times as long as the item is in stock,but you need to CALL to clarify this first.

At one time I was a sceptic concerning power cables. I am now a believer. Next step was fuses. Tried them in the power cords and an improvement. Last step was to replace the fuses inside my amplifier. I didn't expect them to do much, but again I was proven wrong. These Quantum fuses made a difference. A bit clearer and the bass was better controlled. Good power cable and good fuses add up to a major upgrade in sound quality. Why don't the manufacturers do this from the start? Only open up your amplifier if you know what you are doing.

Nearly £40 for a simple fuse seems to many like madness however the difference it makes is well worth it. As with mains cables it is the fuse closest to the source that makes the most difference (so forget your house wiring etc). Why I don't know but I've been at this game now as a hifi enthusiast for over 40 years and about 25 years ago I somewhat sceptically entered this murky world of mains cables and fuses by accident when I was given some to evaluate. They do make a difference and the difference with good equipment is not slight but massive! I used this as the input fuse for my new Leak cdt and it turned what was already a good sound into one where I was hearing much more detail and 3 dimensionality. Bandwidth seemed to be much improved as well. At first it was a little 'harsh' after putting in for the first time but sure enough after 200 hours (standby use is good enough for this) it sweetened and all the fullness and detail came through. I know that there'll be some who will cry 'snake oil' or 'confirmation bias' but I can tell you that even my un audiophile wife can hear the difference. It isn't just a small difference, it is very plain to hear. I don't know how all this works and according to the 'electronics manual' it shouldn't but it definitely does and if you've got anywhere near a decent system this is really the best £40 you'll ever spend.

I suspended my 'snake-oil-audiofoolia' response and took a - modest - punt. Result: v pleasantly surprised: it was like I had upgraded my Roksan K3/K3 Power amps (which handily have prise-out power input fuse holders): more detail & definition; a cleaner, more focused, communicative sound.

Each fuse got its sound characteristics.
Can do good or harm your system performance.
Keeping that in mind, mine is pretty neutral and I compared the SR20 to a Furutech Rhodium.

The SR is better in every aspect.

The sound is more natural with much better focus and the layers are well separated : what a treat !

I used it on a digital transport where it helps bringing a more analog style sound... the goal here is to forget Digital sucks and The SR20 fuses are doing well !

I didnt believe that it can make any difference. But wanted to try to tweak my audio system. Very very surprised with the new sound of my amplifier. I can say that the sound became much pleasant and musical as i expected reading the reviews.

In a nutshell they work. Soundstage, separation, clarity all improve as well as bass, mid & trble response. If you haven't looked into upgrading mains cables & fuses then do so you will not be disappointed. A really significant improvement can be made for not a great deal of money, look into DIY mains cables, connectors & fuses you'll be glad you did.. All in all a top quality product with a top quality service from Analogue Seduction..

I already own the Red 13amp Quantum fuses that feed each separate component of my HiFi. However I replaced the 2 standard internal fuses in my Chord Electronics SPM600 amplifier with SR20 250V t6.3amp slow blow fuses.
It was well worth the expense and has improved a very good amp's performance to the next level without having to buy a new one. It's like having a new amp at the fraction of the cost.
After a few days settle in period, they have given an overall evenly balanced and detail sound. Timbre and the naturalness of instruments has improved whilst voices are clearer allowing the emotion of the artist to come through. The performance of the amp has improved across all the frequency ranges. Bass is not deeper, but just more natural and balanced. Just sounds right. As a consequence, I just can't stop listening to music. Brilliant.
If your equipment uses internal fuses, you won't regret upgrading to these.

I would like to say the service has been fantastic and l was unsure about trying these SR-20 fuses butwith the 30 day return i thought go for it after reading up about how good these fuses were. Iv tried most fuses but as soon as l replaces my hi fi tuning fuses for the SR -20's in my amp ans cd'player it was instant, everything was better, mid range, better tighter bass and more detail, more fuller spaced sound, guitar cords were just amazing, these fuses do work, one of the best up grades l have ever made and would certanly recommend them, simply amazing fuses, l strongly advise you to give them a try, fantastic upgrade.
