The µDAC-2496 is a reference quality (24bit/96kHz) bus powered USB DAC, in the same footprint as the µHA-120/µHA-120Ds series products.

By taking a holistic & systematic approach, the µDAC-2496 provides refined audio quality for the discerning listener, who wishes for a versatile USB DAC with a small physical footprint. This makes it an ideal alternative to a dedicated sound card output or a larger box DAC.

As with the µHA-120Ds, connection to MAC or PC is made using a standard high quality micro USB cable. No driver installation is required on MAC OSX or PC systems.

The 3-pin XLR balanced output, is the recommended or typical connection method to larger high-end systems. Whereas, the 1/4" jack adapters are more commonly used throughout professional audio applications - these have the advantage that they can also be used for adapting 1/4" (6.25mm) headphone jacks to the smaller headphone mini (3.5mm) jacks.
