Dactil 2.3 D to A converter input card
The Dactil 2.3 DAC card is based on a Wolfson WM8741 DAC chipset, which also provides the user with selectable digital filters to tailor the performance to their tastes. Three settings, adjustable via a board mounted jumper, vary the high frequency roll off curve from ‘linear phase soft knee’ to ‘linear phase brickwall’ and ‘minimum phase soft knee’. Each provides a slightly different effect on the very highest frequencies and overall sound presentation, to enable the retailer/installer to fine tune the output depending upon partnering equipment and the acoustic environment.
With sampling frequencies of up to 192kHz and a resolution of 24 bits, the Dactil 2.3 enables the upgrading of existing Obelisk DA and PRE products or as a standard fit in the Obelisk DA.
