Audiophile-quality headphones, something that we all thought belonged to the '70s, are back.

Music enthusiasts from all around the world are upgrading their listening experience by getting rid of earbuds and connecting high-end headgear to their portable digital players, and more. With such great stuff on hand, it’s a shame that the only available holes are MP3 players' ones, as most quality amps have lost their jack sockets since decades.

Pathos laboratories faced this new challenge: can we squeeze our very best quality and technology into few cubic centimeters? The result is the newest Aurium headphone amp.

Hybrid Tube Heaven

My first tube headamp and my first hybrid headamp. I am Speechless! Vinyl sounds like...well, vinyl. Music sounds like music and not a facsimile. Deep and wide stereo soundstage, big bass and spacious separation, extremely non fatiguing even playing harsh, compressed CDs. Ultra smooth but exquisitely detailed. Its a lovely looking piece of Italian craftsmanship too. Something to gawk at and listen to for hours on end. Oh and tons of solid state power for pretty much any headphone. Mine are 35ohms and driven easily and powerfully with volume needing to go only upto 12 o' clock. Stunning!

Look up the What Hi-Fi review, https://www.whathifi.com/pathos/aurium/review purchased the Aurium based on that review (and others) was not disappointed! Great product. Tested it with HiFiman HE-560, Grado325, few Sennheisers, Audeze EL-8 Closed Back (not all mine...) sounded great with all. Might try the Sbooster OTW P&P ECO 12-13V MKII to replace the wall wart.
