Rega Exact MM Cartridge

The Rega arm & the 3 point attachment makes setup pretty much fool proof. No need to fiddle too much, knowing the VTA is dead on. Rega cartridges are designed to work with the Rega arm & deck geometry perfectly. You certainly don't want to put a bright sounding cartridge on a Rega deck otherwise you may find it hard work on the ears, and unlike this cartridge the listening is non-fatiguing through a perfectly presented soundstage.

Can't fault the way it delivers all genres of music including Classical chamber music, glitchy, heavy & minimal electronica. Band members individual parts are stunning. It will pick out a tom from a bass kick or rim shot & nuances of how the bass is being played are all there. Ambience is also stunning with the presentation of the recording space and creaking of say the piano mechanics of a Nils Frahm track are very intimate. I love the Exact it can do little wrong.

Beautiful really when you think about it.

The Exact sounds great, and tracks better than any other cart I've tried for my RP3 (all non-Rega). It sounds as good as the AT150MLX it replaced. The Exact is a bit less bright, which I personally prefer, but it tracks even better (probably due to imperfect setup of the AT). From now on, I'll be using Rega carts as long as I have the RP3.

I went from the Elys 2 that came on my Planar 3 to the Exact and so happy I did. The Elys 2 was great, but the Exact just gives you more detail, more clarity and what I would consider more depth to my music.

Amazing!
The cartridge body runs very low on the disc, but it sounds wonderful, with a perfect balance and full-bodied and musical sound.
It is not an hyper detailed cartridge, but returns distinct and non-misplaced sounds, in greater detail and with much less distortion than the Elys 2; the difference is obvious: also the last track on the disc is pleasant; we are at another level here.
Great cartridge, at least for my little experience.
I confirm it needs a break-in period to give the best.

This is my 2nd unit of this cart. Few reasons why I decided to stick with it. It has excellent detail retrieving capabilities. It pairs very well with the RB330 tonearm. Installing it on my Rega Planar 3 also eliminates the hassle of aligning the stylus since it uses 3-point fixing. No putzing around with protractors etc which leaves me with more time to spend on listening to music.

Upgrading elys2 , if you want to cheer up with music and not the instruments go for it , warm,great musicality ,I'm just discovering my albums , I love it , thanks to analogueseduction for your advice and your service .

Lived very happily with the Elys2 for a year or so, but felt my P5 (with the excellent RB700 arm) could use just a bit "better" cartridge. The Exact is just the ticket, providing more top end detail and deeper, fuller bass. The Elys 2 is a really, really good cartridge, but the Exact is worth the extra cash if you've got it to spare.
