Hana SL Low Output Moving Coil Cartridge

This is my 3rd MC cartridge I purchased from Analogue Seduction. The first 2 being a Lyra Delos and an Ortofon Quintet Black S.

The Hana SL has had only about 10 hours since installation hence cannot write much about it.

But what needs mention is the Superlative Service provided by Both Gary and Martin at AS. 2 very attentive flexible and efficient people who are an asset to AS. Their delivery is about the best I have experienced from the UK.

I have no hesitation in recommending AS as a top supplier of audio gear and will continue to patronize them in the years ahead.

Only 18 hours to date so till running in but so far very pleased. It's a natural, open sound, even from top to bottom, straightforward to set up, and as rightly stated by Terry, doesn't seem too fussy about loading,

Can't see much beating the Hana at this price. Four stars only because of the low hours completed.

Going with Lehmann Decade, this cartridge bring a lot of details to my system. High pitched very precise without to much shining, good low signal resolution also and fluently render on instrument.

After having and listening to some capsules, among them Benz Micro Glider and Sumiko BPS, Hana is undoubtedly one of the best purchases in its price range.

After much help and advice from David, I ordered the Hana SL to replace a factory fitted cartridge that came with my Rega RP8. The Rega MC cartridge wasn't a good match for my bright-sounding valve amp and sounded a bit harsh and top-heavy. Although the Hana is still only a day old, the sound is markedly smoother and easier on the ear, which doesn't seem to be at the expense of detail and scale. Fitting it to an RB808 arm was straightforward, with just a 2mm shim needed to get the correct VTA. A couple of hours' work, but well worth the effort. Thanks, David and AS.

This shape naked diamond on aliuminiun requires exact setup then it gives that famed ' musicality' with a carefully balanced full dynamic heft and harmonic details throughout wide stage giving a correct ' natural' (rather than a showy) reproduction. 3 g of added weight on Rega arm gave it a resonance of 10 hertz ( compliance is perhaps 14cu UK spec) It works well in my bass tight line with standard 100 ohm ish SUT and valve phono.( Hana suggests 400 +). Fundamental bass and ryhthmns are correctly full and gives that authentic vinyl sound.All the musicians individual work is clearly delineated throughout ( if on disc). Noise is low. Conclusion? Makes me want to play my vinyl again and again and again. Love it.

I have been using both a Dynavector 10x5 and Goldring Eroica L which has broken! After talking to AS they recommended this cartridge and I'm glad they did. It’s at a totally different level to the other two with better bass resolution more open and sweeter treble. I could go on but actually it just sounds right
