Marantz NR1710 7.2 Channel AV Receiver
Enjoy the enveloping sound of Dolby Atmos and DTS:X, from a more compact AV receiver, with the Marantz NR1710.
Half the height
If you’re pushed for space or simply balk at the sight of a full-size AV receiver, then the compact Marantz NR1710 is ideal for you. Standing just 104mm tall, it's around half the height (or less) of many of its rivals. This not only makes it easier on the eye but also allows it to be slotted in where many other AV receivers simply won't fit.
Full delight
It might be slim in form but the NR1710 is definitely full-fat when it comes to spec. With 7.1 channels, this slimline receiver is compatible with Dolby Atmos and DTS:X formats. Alternatively, two of the channels can be used for stereo speakers in a second room while still maintaining 5.1 surround sound in the main zone. The discrete power amp design and Pure Direct modes mean this Marantz AV receiver also sounds as special as you’d expect from this leading audio brand.
Dolby Atmos, DTS:X and DTS Neural:X for cinematic sound
Dolby Atmos uses ceiling or upwards firing speakers to produce a multi-dimensional, immersive sound that's a match for the finest cinemas. DTS:X literally pushes the boundaries of what you can expect from home cinema. It renders images in three dimensions that conventional processing can't match. DTS Neural:X upmixer supports Dolby formats, giving you DTS surround whatever the format.
Connect even more – including a turntable
Improving upon the already impressive NR1510 model, the NR1710 offers eight HDMI inputs – including one at the front. Component, optical and coaxial digital inputs are ideal for connecting legacy devices such as an older games console, DVD or CD player. Three analogue inputs are perfect for Hi-Fi components, with the dedicated MM phono input ideal for plugging in a turntable.
Voice control via Alexa, Google Assistant and Siri devices
Controlling a sophisticated AV receiver like this can be baffling for some members of the family, which is why Marantz have made it compatible with Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant and Siri devices. Simply download the HEOS Home Entertainment Skill app and then just ask Alexa or the Google Assistant to perform functions such as volume and source selection. Using the Apple Home App, Siri voice control from your Apple iOS device brings added functionality over AirPlay 2 – including grouping devices.
HEOS built-in - for the finest multi-room audio
HEOS multi-room music systems connect together by dual-band Wi-Fi, making them easy to set up with your existing home network. Up to 32 HEOS units can be set up at one time, ensuring even the largest of homes are covered for multi-room music. With HEOS already built-in, the NR1510 is ready to go as a single 'zone' without any further adaptors.
Control it all with the HEOS app
Once you've set up your HEOS speaker system, you can stream music effortlessly via the dedicated HEOS app. Available for Apple iOS, Android and Amazon Kindle, the app not only lets you stream your stored music but also Internet radio services and popular streaming services such as Spotify, Tidal, Napster and Deezer.
Support for Dolby Vision, HDR10 and HLG
Ideal for pairing with your quality video sources, the NR1710 is compatible with an extensive range of formats. It supports Dolby Vision, HDR10, Dolby, HLG and HDCP 2.2, which means you can play UHD Blu-ray discs and stream UltraHD video in the highest quality. The HDMI sockets allow 4K pass-through, for hassle free switching and viewing without the receiver needing to be on.
Bluetooth, AirPlay 2, DLNA and built-in wi-fi for the complete networking experience
With both Bluetooth and AirPlay 2 connectivity, it's easy to connect all your smartphones, tablets and compatible lap/desktops and stream music wirelessly. The NR1510 also comes with wi-fi, Internet radio and DLNA. Simply connect to your home network via Ethernet or wi-fi and access thousands of Internet radio sites via vTuner as well as subscription services such as Spotify Connect Premium Spotify account required). DLNA compatibility lets you stream from other sources such as your laptop or NAS drive.
