Supremely transparent, with breathtaking dynamics and holographic imaging, Gold Eclipse 7 provides the closest sound to the ultimate Platinum Eclipse 7.
The Gold Eclipse 7 features WireWorld’s unique Quad DNA Helix™ cable design and utilizes Silver Tube™ plugs for optimum connectivity.
All of the Series 7 cables feature Composilex 2 insulation technology, which minimizes the triboelectric noise produced by conventional insulation materials. Many understand that insulation materials influence the performance of a cable. Wireworld created unique polymer composites designed specifically to optimize fidelity. The benefits of Composilex 2 are especially noticeable on Series 7 Audio cables where the reduced interference preserves the purity of the original sound thereby greatly improves performance. These new materials push the boundaries of there expectations for fidelity by letting us hear, see and feel more than ever before.
With the unique invention of the Quad DNA Helix design, Wireworld has created a more efficient channel for electromagnetic energy, thereby preserving more of the delicate information that creates higher fidelity. Series 7 utilizes refined versions of the Quad DNA Helix design to provide the most lifelike fidelity ever.
Despite this interconnect venturing well into the price range of diminishing returns, I still found it to be a significant step up from the expensive, high end copper-based interconnect I was previously using (not a Wireworld branded one). Put simply, this interconnect does not colour the sound in the same way that every copper interconnect I have heard does. The bottom end is extremely well controlled with zero bloat and zero warmth. It simply tell s it like it is, which is precisely how it should be in a properly sorted system. The top end is (contrary to my pre-purchase fears), extremely smooth, intimately detailed and finely-etched yet remains completely unfatiguing even over very long listening sessions. Timing across the audible spectrum is superb to the point where I simply cannot fault it - another attribute that beats every copper interconnect I have heard. Despite the price, I would call this interconnect a bargain with respect to the sonic results and the asking price. As someone who listens almost exclusively to classical orchestral music I think it is very hard to go past this interconnect, particularly if you appreciate an uncoloured sound, detail and superb rendition of mass, bowed strings.
