Pro-Ject Connect-IT Power RS Mini-XLR

I am a great believer that cables and power supplies do make a massive difference/improvement to the sound quality of Hi Fi equipment. However,this cable has got me puzzled. The original cables that come with the Power Box Uni 4 way are basic but are a decent cable. They produce great powerful bass a slightly veiled midrange and a very decent top end with plenty of detail. The Connect it cable produces a soft fluffy bass (like it can't be bothered) with crystal clear, detailed midrange and top end. It certainly puts one in a dilemma. If you could combine the attributes of both cables we would be on a winner and on the road to glory but at the moment I'm tempted to leave the original cables in place as they have an overall more pleasurable presentation.

I'm using this between my Pro-Ject RS2t CD transport and it's Power Box power supply. Wasn't expecting a huge step forward over the supplied cable, but it really does have a clearly beneficial impact, subtly improving focus and solidity in the soundstage.
