Our original Element Integra, which remains in the range, has won numerous awards internationally and remains one of our most successful products. The Element Superior is perhaps best thought of as our ‘turbo-charged’ version, building on the strengths of the original without losing the essential balance which let it work so well in many different systems.
A ‘next generation’ interconnect with a neutral, dynamic sound, providing an excellent base for further system upgrades. To improve the performance, we began by increasing the OCC copper content of the cable by over 20% compared to the Element. An improved Polyethylene dielectric with lower dielectric constant offers improved bandwidth, and increasing the diameter of the cable improves and stabilises the cable’s impedance characteristic.
Finished in an attractive pearl grey, it’s the first cable to benefit from our new calibrated shield crimping on the Integra non-magnetic RCA plug – which offers a level of consistency of termination and reliability unheard of at this price level. The Element Superior is the only fully 100% calibrated analogue interconnect on the market!
The low mass Integra connector features a solder-free, cold-weld connection, all optimised to create a coherent, continuous signal path with maximum resistance to RFI (Radio Frequency Interference) which can raise noise levels in a poorly shielded cable.
The result is a cable with a large three dimensional soundstage which combines clean dynamic bass with a sophisticated portrayal of fine detail, without the artificial glare or brightness which affects many budget cables.
The Element range includes other analogue termination options, complementary USB & digital interconnects and speaker cables.
I've had Element Integra leads throughout my system for several years and been very happy with neutral and open sound they give. Recently, seeing Atlas now have an improved version of the Integra - the Superior, I bought one and used it to connect my pre and power amps. The improvements were immediately evident even before the 72 hours recommended burn-in time. As Atlas's blurb says, the qualities of the original Integra have been retained and significantly improved. The sound is still neutral and open, but more dynamic and detailed. I'm very pleased with an upgrade for relatively little expense so I've just ordered two more leads; one to connect the dac to the pre-amp, the other for the phono stage to the pre-amp. It's a pity they do not make a digital version of the Superior so I could them throughout my system by replacing the coaxial lead between cdp and dac.

Atlas describes this cable as an updated upgrade of Element Integra. After a few hours of listening I can say that it certainly is. The Element Superior retains the same flavor and balance as its predecessor but here the sound is more defined, the details are also sharper, the sound is still soft but more focused with a wider sound stage. The Element Integra is still a wonderful entry level cable but for the small extra you pay for the Atlas Superior this cable represents an impressive upgrade.
