I bought these to stand my B&W DM602 S1 series speakers.
They support the speakers perfectly fine.
They are quite heavy, but for larger speakers like the 602 S1, you might definitely want to fill them to mass load. You should fill them before you put the top plate on as there are no holes in the tubes to fill them otherwise. They are designed to be filled.
I would recommend using lead shot or steel shot/shot blasting shot (25kg bag will do 2 speakers, though you can add more if your speakers are taller or heavier)
So 12.5KG of shot in the base of each speaker stand. This will make it bottom heavy, then fill the rest of the stand up with silver sand or play sand (thoroughly dried)
Doing this will make the stands very heavy of course, but will prevent the stands accidentally being toppled over, it will also increase dampening and resonant frequencies vibrating through the steel tube itself.
