Tannoy's famous dual concentric design for accurate speech
The Revolution XTC makes excellent use of Tannoy's famous Dual Concentric drive unit. By placing the tweeter within the throat of the main woofer, the speaker offers a single point source for crucial high and mid-range frequencies. The result is a consistency and realism of vocals that are critical in a centre speaker.
Innovative drive unit design
The tweeter is a new PEI dome with Torus-Ogive WaveGuide. The waveguide offers smooth treble extension and pin-point precison. The woofer features new Omnimagnet technology. This gives superior cone control for a more precise mid-range response.
Solid cabinet
As well as the exceptional drive unit quality, the Tannoy offers innovative cabinet design. The trapezoid-shaped cabinet not only looks good but also improves sound quality by countering internal standing waves. This reduces distortion, for a less 'boxy' sound quality. Heavily braced and highly rigid, the Revolution XTC speaker offers low colouration and realism of sound like few others at its price.
Cabinet plinth
The Revolution XTC speaker is also fitted with a smart plinth. This effectively mass-loads the speaker cabinet, acting as a vibration damping and stable base.
Luxurious finish
With a choice of Espresso Dark Walnut or Medium Oak, real wood veneers, the XTC is equal in finish to many more expensive speakers. The hand-treated veneers are finished to the same exacting standards that Tannoy demands of its premium models and world-renowned Prestige series. Tannoy's typical attention to detail also extends to magnetic grille attachment, an etched trim ring and even 'Tannoy' branded bolt heads. Everything about it is first-rate.

The 10.8 litre cabinet has Revolution XT’s signature trapezoid shape and is uniquely fitted with a miniature plinth in keeping with the larger floorstanding models. The plinth serves to add low-down mass to the design, affording highly stable placement on stands or shelves for the most accurate acoustic reproduction. Heavily constructed and extensively braced, the cabinet has exceptionally low colouration further enhancing its ability to communicate nuances and emotion of music. The Revolution XT 6 is an incredibly accurate mini-monitor for those who appreciate music presented with utmost detail and texture.
