Actually this is too hard to be called a mat. It is produces less electrostatic than my turntable's original rubber mat. Bass attenuated to a level that made the upper frequencies so predominant. I will give it a second chance sometime later.

We do tend to find these mats are excellent for calming down a "bass heavy" set up.

This item not only increased the bounce of the suspension on my old Thorens TD160 B MkII it cleared up and cleaned up the midrange and treble of the sound too. Well recommended.
