At that time, it was built exclusively for Rega tonearms and their many OEM derivatives. Since that introduction, Incognito have been inundated with calls from the owners of other arms asking whether such a facility was available for their Linns, Missions, Zetas, Hadcocks, SMEs etc Now, such a loom, or rather, a series of looms, has been developed.
The Incognito loom is a unique assembly of Cardas copper Litz in-arm wire, running in a continuous length from cartridge tag to phono plug. Apart from at the start and finish, there are no joints, no plugs, no sockets, no solder connections, nothing but best quality copper wire. At the base of the arm pillar, the wire passes through a gold plated boss that is the 'Star' earth for the whole arm wire system. It then passes into a spaced, screened assembly, in essence a Faraday Cage, for the external run of 1.2metres to the phono plugs (Or any other type of plug, as specified). A 2 wire construction (Send and return) is used throughout, the screen being connected at the send end only, not being used as the return path. A separate earth cable is fitted, running from the gold boss at the base of the arm pillar.
