The Graham Slee Elevator EXP head amp is a special amplifier designed to boost the signal from a low-output moving-coil cartridge so that it can be used with a moving-magnet phono stage. It is not a phono stage, and so cannot be used on its own. Ideally, it should be paired with the award-winning Graham Slee Era Gold, Reflex  or Jazz Club phono stages, or, indeed, any high-quality moving-magnet phono stage.

The Elevator EXP can be optimised for virtually any low-output moving coil (even one with very low output) by means of two front panel gold plated contact switches to set resistive loading at 47,000, 5,100, 1,000, 840, 100, 30, and 23 Ohms. Every moving-coil cartridge has an optimum loading. With the Elevator EXP, you can follow the cartridge manufacturer's recommendation for loading, or, better yet, use your ears for fine tuning.



Please note: This product requires a break-in period of approximately 3-4 weeks to reach optimum performance. It is also designed to be left powered up. After disconnection from the power, it will require a further few days break-in period to return to optimum performance.
