New, improved "SP" version incorporates Avid's new DSP signal generating power supply. Final speed can now be accurately adjusted and motor stability and vibration is also improved. In addition the new twin belt drive system and revised bearing has improved platter dynamics, further improving the sound quality of an already world class audio product.

A cross between the company's flagship Acutus and its base model the Volvere, this is a heavyweight suspended turntable that means business from the outset. Put a favorite LP on the platter, screw down the fine threaded clamp and let the stylus in the groove and you'll hear things you never expected vinyl to deliver. Killer bass that goes all the way down and shakes the furniture, the most transparent of midranges that lets everything through, and the sweetest highs imaginable. The Avid Sequel SP, use's technology from the Acutus within the mechanical framework of the Volvere.

Recent improvements have included a revised suspension, bearing and platter. Cosmetic changes to the motor unit and power supply also made for an improved visual appearance, making it a delight to behold and use.

Now the Sequel improves again, still incorporating the power supply and motor from the Acutus, but now with the DSP signal generation to allow fine speed adjustment and improved motor vibration control. Added to this our new twin belt drive and revised bearing the improvement in sound quality is instantly noticeable over the standard Volvere.

Improved dynamics, imaging and information retrieval brings you closer than ever to the performance of the Acutus. Extended frequency extremes, especially in the lower registers again make this a class-leading product
