Nitty Gritty was established by audiophiles in 1981, with the sole purpose of providing professional record cleaning products at affordable prices, worldwide. Now into their 30th year, they have worked diligently to maintain a high level of quality and, equally important, customer (and dealer) service and satisfaction. With six (7 for export) models to choose from, there is a system to fit every budget.
We've been fans of the Nitty Gritty machines for a long time. They remain the most affordable alternative to the flashy mega-buck machines that, for the most part, aren't any better at cleaning your LPs than the Nitty Grittys.
The main difference in Nitty Grittys line-up is the level of automation. The basic Model 1 and Model 2 offering the least automation (i.e., you turn the record, you apply the fluid) and the top-of-the-line Model Mini-Pro 1 and 2 automating the fluid application, record scrubbing, and vaccuming both sides of the LP at the same time.
