The Denon DL 110 EM has a way of getting into the grooves and extracting the information contained therein with total authority. And when playing used vinyl there is hardly a better performer than the Denon DL 110, it will play vintage vinyl with aplomb, where other and more expensive phono cartridges just give up. Due to its diamond shape surface noise is all but non-existent.High output moving coil cartridge that is able to display music in a very three-dimensional manner.Interchangeably with a moving magnet phono inputSpecifications:Cartridge Frequency Response20Hz to 45kHzCartridge Load Impedance-Cartridge Output Impedance160 OhmsCartridge Output Voltage1.6 mVCartridge Tracking Force1.8 gramsCartridge TypeMoving CoilCartridge Weight4.8 Grams
I've been a happy owner of a Denon DL-160 (now discontinued) for some years and when the time came for a change I didn't take a chance and went for the Denon DL-110 which doesn't dissapoint. Frquency response and linearity, soundstage, which is wide and tracking all are excellent. The Denon Dl-110 is a real bargain for the price.

I don't normally write reviews for hi-fi gear as there never seems to be a shortage of opinion for any given product but I've been 'moved' to scribble a few words about Denons DL-110. It hasn't been fully broken in yet but already the sound coming through is (really x 10) good. That's ten reallys before a good.I have it on a lowly rega rp1 and it's running through the MM input of a Yamaha AS501 with a pair of Wharfedale Diamond 220s.I'd read a lot that you'd have to increase the volume around 10% with this cart but I really haven't found that to be the case. My volume control is only marginally above where I would have had it (2% ish). At that volume and with the turntable running there is virtually zero feedback noise (with no record playing). With the previous cart (rega carbon) at this volume position there would have been audible noise present, not above average expectations but present all the same.Every aspect of the sound is audible improved and the hard SSSSS sound is gone. Symbals trail off beautifully, brass is rich and creamy, vocals are complete, the bass is big and beautiful.... and so on and so forth.I had though I might need to get a dedicated phono stage but there'd be no point. Paired with the MM input of the Yamaha my volume is at 1 O'Clock and sounds great. Had been sitting on the fence for a while but treated myself this Christmas. Happy Christmas to Me.

Very good cartridge for its price. Really high output - works without problems with usual MM phono stage. Excellent dynamics, tracking and tonal balance. Well suited for all kinds of music. Recommended for budget and even mid-priced setups.
