All computing devices—laptops, smartphones, Network Attached Storage devices (NAS drives), media servers, etc.—inherently generate a significant amount of noise and parasitic resonances. Additionally, computers contribute a considerable amount of RFI and EMI pollution onto the signal paths—all of which can easily find its way onto your USB cables and into your audio system. This noise and interference has many negative effects. Noise-compromised digital circuitry increases jitter and packet errors, resulting in distortion that causes a comparatively flat and irritating sound. Noise-compromised analog circuitry also damages the sound’s depth, warmth and resolution.
JitterBug’s dual-circuitry measurably reduces unwanted noise currents and parasitic resonances. It also reduces jitter and packet errors (in some cases, packet errors are completely eliminated).
Reduces the noise and ringing that plague both the data and power lines of USB ports. Measurably reduces jitter and packet errors. Improves dynamic contrast, warmth and resolution.
When I recieved these items by post (very quick by the way) I was pleasently surprised by the quality of sound from the start. It seemed to make instruments hang in the air especially violins and also the detal was much improved. The only downside for me was that because they were for my computer I found that I was losing 1 usb port for each device as they were deeper than normal USB devices and therefor encroached onto the next USB socket making it redundant. So I now have to make use of the USB ports on the front of the computer but I have a problem with that now in that the PC wont shut down so I have to disconnect it before shutting down my PC. Aside from those little caveats they have made a big improvement in cleaning up my connection going into my DAC. For that reason I would give 5 stars for soun quallity and 4 stars for the minor bugbears. If you are willing to lose a couple of USB ports I would say get a couple and put them in parallel and your system will be singing.

Just added in my audio chain "Audio Quest USB Jitterbug Date & Power Noise Filter", between PC and converter DA, I immediately noticed more detail and more space between instruments, and also lower listening fatigue. Definitely worth all the money that it costs. Highly recommended.

Today I received a package from Analogue Seduction with the second Jitterbug and inserted it in my MacBook Pro. In the first Jitterbug connected USB cable to DAC, and the second Jitterbug installed in the empty slot. The effect of the two is as strong as the one Jitterbug - the sound becomes much cleaner and nicer.Mihail
With Jitterbug significantly less noise in the sound. Even despite the fact that I also use iFi iPurifier and Astin Trew Concord Powered USB cable system. I am very happy.
I have installed two of these as recommended. One of them upstream of a Regen Amber. They provide a small but significant improvement which probably could not be got any other way. With the jitterbugs installed the soundstage improved. There was an increase in micro detail which adds realism to the sound. The midrange was improved. Voices were easier to follow and were better separated. The bass was more solid. This gave a fuller more powerful sound. For the price it is a no brainer
The most cost efficient way to improve in all important aspects the audio quality of the PC's USB digital output.Must have!
