Atlas Ascent 75 Ohm SP-DIF Digital Interconnect 

The Atlas Ascent 75 Ohm SP DIF digital cable is a superior unbalanced design cable with a well-defined impedance of 75 ohms. The central conductor is made from OCC copper which is insulated by an extremely low-loss foamed polyethylene dielectric.  The return conductor is made from OFC copper. The  tightly woven wire mesh together with an aluminium foil, provides 100% rejection of radio frequency interference (RFI) ensuring that the music signal is free from any external interference or noise. The conductors are covered by a soft PVC sleeve and finished in a grey woven fabric.

The Ascent may be terminated with BNC plugs or Atlas' exclusive Atlas RCA plugs made from OCC copper with a high gloss silver finish. These plugs provide a continuous path for the signal virtually free of the discontinuities that can degrade the music signal in subtle but audible ways. 

 

The end result of this new development is a natural-sounding interconnect that neither subtracts from the music, nor adds any false details or unwanted colouration; additions that are often heard as “improvements” of the sound.   This outstanding new interconnect cable is a superb match with the Ascent range of analogue interconnect and speaker cables allowing music-lovers to achieve a barrier free signal path for their music.  

The Ascent digital cable can be supplied with BNC plugs as well as RCA plugs.
