The 'Prima' pre-amplifier, meets all the expectations of the ultimate levels of performance set by Chord with it's stunning control, hi-end audio performance and jewel like design features. The 'Prima' operates Chord's dual bus system, which allows you to tape from any source, while listening to any other. It also hosts Chords new UHF designed Power Supply. The audio circuit is designed using fully balanced line internal architecture and offers six input gain adjustments independently for the five inputs and low impedance outputs.

Introducing the entry level CPA2500 Pre-amplifier. The Chord CPA 2500 is of minimalist design but utilises a highly accurate, high-performance balanced output amplifier section. It is operated manually or via the remote control handset and has an unbalanced line level source selection unit for selecting and adjusting the signal levels of up to 6 unbalanced input signal sources and is for use prior to the main high power amplification of a quality hi-fi system.
The CPA 2500 is a full width design with matching style and character to the SPM 650 Power amplifier. The open airy sound of the CPA 2500 is instantly recognisable to anyone familiar with Chord Electronics power amplifiers. The CPA 2500 is transparent and flexible in its ability to “disappear” within the music. Full display and remote control features enable total mastery over the six unbalanced inputs.

Chord Electronics Ltd is pleased to introduce the CPA3000 as the next in the range of our new generation of pre-amplifier products. Using similar technology as the highly successful CPA5000 reference pre-amplifier the CPA3000 also features a high frequency switch mode power supply and ultra low noise circuitry to give the very best noise floor performance.
Four pairs of balanced style XLR inputs allows for great flexibility with two additional RCA inputs for unbalanced sources. A single tape loop is available for playback and also to record from any of the connected sources.
Front panel controls allow for easy input and output selection if required but changes can also be made via the supplied remote control. Two polished and nickel plated aluminium controls feature prominently to manually adjust the volume and the balance and give easy visual reference of the settings. Using the precision motorised Alps potentiometers levels can also be adjusted by remote control. All settings are clearly visible via the large easy to read vacuum fluorescent display

This all-new design builds on the already advanced CPA 4000 pre-amp but delivers a very substantial sonic improvement.
The CPA 5000 features Chord's latest Ultra High Frequency power supplies, a completely re-designed short signal path, ultra low noise circuit and solid milled aluminum shielding to prevent RF interference. The result of these enhancements is an amazing low noise floor below -148dB!
The functionality has been expanded to include: four pairs of fully balanced XLR inputs, four pairs of RCA unbalanced inputs, two completely independent tape/recording loops, six levels of gain which can be independently selected and stored for each input, and two low distortion, low noise headphone output jacks which are easily accessible on the front panel.
As with all Chord products each piece of metal work is machined from solid aluminum giving a superb rigid construction that gives unsurpassed vibration damping with stunning looks to match.
